Willie Watt/Golem

The Character

All Willie Watt wanted was to be respected, by the girl of his dreams, the school bully, and most of all, his father. But when he is scorned one time too many, he decides to take revenge - in the form of a seven-ton construction robot known as a Golem, controled with a headset. However, when Batman defeats the Golem with a large dose of electricity, the feedback causes Willie to become mentally bonded to the giant machine.

Wille is pushed over the edge by regection and his accident. He lashes out against everyone with his only "friend", the Golem. Batman manages to shut the Golem down for good, but it seems that Willie's conection to electronics is not limited to the Golem.

Parallels and Thoughts

Willie Watt is a very close match to the Ventriloquist. There are some shots where he looks almost exactly the same, with the large glasses blocking off all expression. The ending scene with Willie in jail is remenicint of the end of the first episode with the Ventriloquist. But there is a big difference between a small wooden puppet and a story tall robot. And at least part of the Ventriloquist was good, while Willie is completely insane. If Willie's powers can control all sorts of electrical devices, he could prove to be own of Terry's greatest foes.
