Nanami receives a phone call at home from one of Touga's admirers. She laughs at the girls who chase after him, knowing she is better than them. She spies on Touga in the rose garden, one girl on his arm, another on his
cell phone. She tries to start a conversation with him on the patio outside the house at night, but he only jokingly asks her if she wants to join him in the shower. Nanami turns very red.
Nanami sits in her room, looking at pictures of her and Touga when they were younger and wonders why they grew apart. She sneaks into his room and watches his silhouette through the shower door. When she leaves, she takes his cell phone with her. Nanami watches Touga surrounded by girls. Anyone who calls his cell phone are told they have been dumped. Her own followers ask about Touga's blood type for a love prediction but are frightened away by her expression. When she sees Utena and Anthy talking to Touga, she blames them for his coldness to her. Encountering them on the stairs, she attempts to hurl some handy stone busts at them, but slips on a banana peel and is only saved from a bad fall by Akio. He takes her to his tower to bandage her ankle. She is jealous of the close relationship Anthy and Akio seem to have, and also notices that Utena is in love with him. Upon parting, she tells Utena that the two of them will do their best. The next day, her followers again question her about Touga's blood type. She says that she and her parents are type B, and Touga is a type A. When told that type B parents can't have a type A child, she rushes home in a state of panic. She looks through all of the photos and finds none of Touga as a baby. She realizes that they must not be real siblings. Touga comes in while she is brooding in her darkened room. He jokingly offers her a goodnight kiss. Juri, Miki, and Utena discuss how Nanami has been trying to find someone to stay with, and how odd it is she is willing to separate from her brother. Nanami even resorts to asking Tsuabuki if she can sleep over in his room, but is overheard by Akio who says that staying overnight in another student's room is against school rules. He asks Nanami to come with him. Akio tells Utena and Anthy that Nanami will be staying with them now. Speaking with Nanami alone, he jokingly mentions forming a harem. He tells Nanami to think of him as family, which she finds comforting. Utena talks with Anthy about how odd it is Nanami is staying with them. Anthy replies that her brother shows no differentiation between women, then says that she was kidding. Nanami manages to take over Anthy's bed when Touga shows up and asks her to come home. In front of the others, Nanami says that she knows they aren't siblings, surprising Touga. She then breaks down, saying she can't go back with him because she loves him.
After arguing with Utena in their beds, Nanami head out of the room. She sees Akio on the couch, and starts to speak to him, but then sees Anthy
sprawled out and realized what the two of them were doing. She flees to the elevator, the images of what she saw chasing after her.
